Julie Ayres

I’m proud to have been a trustee for Gatwick TravelCare for over 15 years, during which time I’ve been Chair of the Trustees, leading the charity through some challenging years.

I previously spent most of my career at Gatwick working in diverse roles in operations, community relations, passenger communications and customer service.

I’ve always maintained a keen interest in volunteering, taking opportunities at home and overseas to be involved in community projects and activities. I’ve been a school governor at Warden Park Academy, Cuckfield and I am currently a trustee for The Gatwick Airport Community Trust.

Since taking early retirement from Gatwick Airport, I divide my time between my homes in Sussex and France where I’m also actively involved in community life. My husband and I enjoy keeping fit, travelling, and touring, especially visiting our oldest son and his family in New Zealand.
